Presumed to have either disbanded, been extradited back to Wales or been killed in freak a gardening accident, we have thankfully succumbed to none of the former. We have in fact been busier than ever have been finishing off a score for a major computer game (more details to follow very shortly) and have been asked by the irrepressible Harry Gregson-Williams to work on the score for the gargantuan summer release, Total Recall.
A happy new year to you all, we hope the festive season didn’t expand too many waistlines or damage too many livers… What better way to kick of 2012 than a new Hybrid remix of Guy J and Miriam Vaga’s seminal ‘Fly’. We’ve been sitting this on this little gem for a few months but anyone who’s been along to Chris’s residency at The Works in San Francisco would have heard this in all it’s 9 minutes and 30 second glory.
The track will be available from the 16th of January from all good online retailers. The single also includes mixes from Sian and Kassey Voorn. Here’s a clip of our mix :
A massive thanks to everyone who came out to see one of the many Hybrid Soundsystem shows in September it was a fantastic tour and great to see so many of you coming out to party. The tour started in Orlando at the Vintage Lounge then worked it’s way across Florida to Suite in Jacksonville and ending up with a couple of massive nights in Vanguard in LA and Public Works San Francisco. Anyone in the Bay Area will be able to catch up with me every 3 months as I’ve just started a residency there so watch out!!
The tour then moved onto Australia to the legendarily badly titled ‘Brown Alley’ club Melbourne, then on to the equally legendary Chinese Laundry in Sydney, equipped with it’s new monster sound system. My new digital Soundsystem set up sounded massive in there, so much so I thought I’d better record the whole thing and serve it up again here as a live 3 hour mix which is free to download.

We are very very proud to announce the launch of our new website for all our film and TV work – www.hybridscores.com. It’s been a long process getting all our material together and figuring out the best way to present it. The site has clips of video of some of the recent film work we’ve been involved in and has an audio page containing some of our favourite score based tracks.
We’ve amassed a hearty collection of material from and hope to add even more in the future, it’s amazing to finally have all our current work to date in one place and would like to thank all the people who helped us to create the site.
