Live in Prague

On the 2nd of February we had the pleasure of finally playing live at the Lucerna Music Bar in Prague to a magnificent crowd. The gig had been canceled in December because of heavy snow at London Heathrow airport so it was fantastic to finally get to perform.

We recorded the audio from the set for posterity and our good friend and photographer John Stefanik videoed as much as he could with our 7D. This is an edit of some of the highlights of the gig, soundtracked by the live recording of Numb which we opened the set with.

We also had the pleasure of playing with six members of the City Of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, most of whom had actually played on our album when we recorded the orchestra in late 2009. Brilliant musicians and fearless against over 110db on stage!

The 3 minutes of footage can’t begin to convey the atmosphere in the room that night and we thank everyone for coming out to see us (some from very far away so we’re told). A truly spectacular crowd.

1. Guys, this sounds incredible! What was the setlist? I know I’ve said this before but I would LOVE to see a Live set released from this album – ever since you guys teased me with the snippet of ‘Salt’ from your summer rehearsals! Failing that feel free to come and play a gig like that in the Midlands!

3. I missed my very chance to see YOU live in Prague. Actually i am from Czech Republic and i curse me for that i wasn’t there.. I hope it wouldn’t be your last visit in Czechia! I am your fan since your first album, seen in video game called SSX.. Me and my father were simply seduced from FInished symphony! I wish you the very best for the future plans etc. ! 4. Hi Mike, really appreciate you getting back to me! Sounds like a brilliant set, wish I could have made it… Hopefully the record company will play ball in allowing another track to be shared… Please convince them that it would be a good idea to release a live album, if they’re willing to sell it we will buy!!

5. I have got to tell you that this album has been the most wonderful sounds i have ever heard. I am a huge fan of you guys and have been for a long time. We met in Boulder, Colorado at Soma. I feel so much emotion listening to your music and I just wanted to thank you for such a wonderful masterpiece. You are truly inspiring and i hope to see you again.

7. Is there any chance of this performance being released on DVD?? I’ve love to watch a whole set of Hybrid playing with a live orchestra! That would be wicked.
