Hybrid Soundsystem Tour (September 2011)

A massive thanks to everyone who came out to see one of the many Hybrid Soundsystem shows in September it was a fantastic tour and great to see so many of you coming out to party. The tour started in Orlando at the Vintage Lounge then worked it’s way across Florida to Suite in Jacksonville and ending up with a couple of massive nights in Vanguard in LA and Public Works San Francisco. Anyone in the Bay Area will be able to catch up with me every 3 months as I’ve just started a residency there so watch out!!

The tour then moved onto Australia to the legendarily badly titled ‘Brown Alley’ club Melbourne, then on to the equally legendary Chinese Laundry in Sydney, equipped with it’s new monster sound system. My new digital Soundsystem set up sounded massive in there, so much so I thought I’d better record the whole thing and serve it up again here as a live 3 hour mix which is free to download.

Scores Site

We are very very proud to announce the launch of our new website for all our film and TV work – www.hybridscores.com. It’s been a long process getting all our material together and figuring out the best way to present it. The site has clips of video of some of the recent film work we’ve been involved in and has an audio page containing some of our favourite score based tracks.

We’ve amassed a hearty collection of material from and hope to add even more in the future, it’s amazing to finally have all our current work to date in one place and would like to thank all the people who helped us to create the site. We hope you’ll have a look through the site and let us know what you think, there isn’t the option to leave comments there but feel free to let us know what you think here. Thanks for all your support and we’ll be in touch with more updates soon.

New Single : Original Sin (Remixed)

On the 28th of March, Distinctive Records will be releasing the 4th and final single from our Disappear Here album. The single includes a skillful progressive re-interpretation by Myon & Shane 54 who also deliver a dramatic orchestral reprise. The remixes are finished off with a monster breaks mix by hugely respected producer, Ádám Huszár aka Retroid.

Can You Hear Me Released Today

The second single from ‘Disappear Here’ is ‘Can You Hear Me’ which features Tim Hutton on vocals. It is available now from iTunes / Beatport, or vinyl at the Distinctive Shop. Watch the video on HD here. Directed and edited by Mike Truman, the video features the entire band who’ll be touring this summer.

Hybrid have recently been interviewed by the cult online magazine, Sinning In LA. Chris, Charlotte and Mike spoke at length to the magazine’s Alex Storch and Ryan Simoneau about the release of the album, post gig tatoos and naughty nights out in LA amongst other things. Break My Soul Released Today!

The first single from Hybrid’s new LP Disappear Here is available to buy today from all good online retailers. The release features the original mix and an instrumental, along with two very special remixes from Hybrid themselves. This announces the beginning of a series of remixes from the album and is a grand return to the club sound they have been away from during the recording of the LP.
